Clinical Skin Safety Study: BabyBamp Gentle Baby Soap

Summary: The BabyBamp Gentle Baby Soap (100% soap-free, with shea butter, ceramides and Manuka honey, vitamin-enriched) was tested for skin irritation in a clinical patch study at CCFT Laboratories, Meerut, India, in April 2025. Not one of the 24 volunteers showed any redness or swelling, at 24 hours or at the one-week follow-up. The study concluded the soap is non-irritant.

What this means for parents

A patch test checks whether a product irritates skin when it is held against it for a full day, which is far longer than a bath. Our bar caused no reaction at all in this test, while the SLS control did. As with any new product, try it on a small area first, and talk to your pediatrician if your baby has a skin condition.

This study was done on adult volunteers, which is the standard method for cosmetic safety testing. It tested irritation only and does not claim to treat any skin condition.
